I love adding in lunges to my clients programmes.
Are you wondering why? Well they work the biggest muscles in your body, your legs and they also work your bottom too. Lunging also helps to strengthen the muscles around your core and improves balance, as these muscles are stretched to keep the body stable during a lunge. They are easy to do, but there are ways to make them more challenging and that are lots of variations. Also, they don't require any equipment either.
Lunges are beneficial if your are looking to gain extra strength or power in your legs, and also if you are looking to burn fat, as having strong legs, that are toned, require energy to maintain muscles, even whilst at rest. So whilst you are sat on the sofa watching the TV, you are burning fat. Brilliant.
